Wrapping the Year Up (Steeple 2015.06)
On June 7, please plan to attend a very musical service! We are planning four choral pieces, and Don has special service music to complement the readings and reflections. I will be preaching on the topic of the many ways I have seen God through the Beautiful Community of music. I hope you’ll enjoy my thoughts. In preparation for the service’s reflections, I encourage you to think for a moment beforehand about something that you feel defines you as a person. (You won’t need to speak it aloud, or even let anyone know what it is.) If you give a few moments’ thought to that, I suspect you will get a bit more from my message that morning. Now, aren’t you curious?
As we wrap another big year for the choir, I want to thank all the singers and instrumentalists who have been a part of the fun this year. It’s been an incredible amount of work, and I’ve been happy with all of it. I have planned a number of weekend excursions this summer, but look forward to seeing everyone when I return in the fall. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me by email. I’ll be delighted to hear from you!
